Metallica riot...
As reported on Nme.com, approximately 160 fans were arrested after a riot occurred after Metallica played their concert in Bogota, Colombia.
Hundreds of fans without a ticket stormed the band's concert at Simon Bolivar Park and tried to pass the barriers that were in place. Since authorities had expected an incident to occur, about 1,500 police officers were present along with tanks and police ..trucks...
As fans tried to enter the concert, a 45-minute riot took place and four fans and four police officers were injured and one was treated for a knife wound. The concert itself wasn't interrupted.
"The presence of police and riot teams was necessary because these misfits damaged some windows in the surrounding area," said local police chief Ruben Castillo.
A similar incident took place in January in Santiago, Chile, where 120 were arrested during a riot outside of a Metallica show.
