Kid Rock up-date
Kid Rock's next album will be called Born Free and it is slated for a September 7 release, according to the Detroit News. The album was produced by Rick Rubin and the first single, also called "Born Free," will be released in late June. Guests on the new effort will include Martina McBride and T.I. on the track "Care," Zac Brown on "Flying High" and Sheryl Crow on "Collide," which also features Bob Seger on piano. "I asked him to be on the track and he didn't call me back," Rock told the Detroit News of Seger. "I started getting really nervous, and then a couple days later he showed up at the studio, by himself. I said, 'Bob, why didn't you call? I didn't think you were going to do it!' He said, 'I was practicing.'"
