Drowning Pool have been implicated in the murder rampage in Arizona where Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was shot in the head.
Police have revealed that 22 yr old suspect Jared Loughner had just one video favoured on his YouTube channel: Drowning Pool’s 2001 single "Bodies".
The Texan band have been forced yet again to point out that the song is constantly misunderstood: it’s not about killing, it’s about respect.
Their statement explains: “We were devastated to learn of the tragic events in Arizona, and that our music has been misinterpreted – again.
“Bodies was written about the brotherhood of the moshpit and the respect people have for each other in the pit. If you push others down you have to pick them back up. It was never about violence. It’s about a certain amount of respect and a code of behaviour.”
