According to MyFoxDetroit.com, Apple's iTunes signed a deal to add never-before-released digital versions of Aerosmith's tunes to the service. The band's more recent material is already available on iTunes, but Aerosmith's management was previously unable to come to an agreement with iTunes over the group's earlier releases. Apple and Columbia Records were expected to announce that Aerosmith recordings between 1973 and 1987 will be available on iTunes on 9/6/11.
According to The Hollywood Reporter- Aerosmith's album sales rose 260% in the weeks after Steven Tyler became a judge on "American Idol".
