In a series of Tweets, he explained that he recorded most of the E.P. when the band wrapped up the Stadium Arcadium tour. According to Flea -the E.P was made entirely by him in just a couple days and features obscure, mostly artsy, obscure instrumental music, “except when Patti Smith sings.” Flea continues, “It is not RHCP music or even close to it. It is a trippy freakout.”
The download will be available “at any price you want to pay,” as Flea will donate the proceeds directly to Silverlake Conservatory. There will also be a limited-edition copies available for $75 which Flea says he’ll autograph. Within the packaging, he’ll include a piece of a bass string used in concert. A purchase link will be made public soon.
