“Eddie Van Halen underwent an emergency surgery for a severe bout of Diverticulitis. Eddie spent three weeks in the hospital after undergoing emergency surgery for diverticulitis, and will now need four to six months at home to recover from the procedure. According to CNN , the guitarist first developed the condition while on tour and had a serious flare-up once he came off the road. The long hospital stay was required because surgery to remove the infected intestine resulted in another infection when Van Halen popped a few stitches. Van Halen’s scheduled November 2012 tour of Japan is currently being rescheduled and the band looks forward to seeing and playing for their fans in 2013.”
