Jimmy Page gave a surprise performance at the 2023 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in New York on 11/3/23. On hand at the Barclays Center to induct guitarist Link Wray in the Musical Influence category, Page performed the early rocker’s breakthrough 1958 rock instrumental “Rumble”. Wray’s US Top 20 hit was among the first to feature both distortion & tremolo.
